If you are a licensee of a Healthcare Insights trademark or logo and have been provided with special trademark usage guidelines with your license agreement, please follow direct guidelines and contact H.I.. If your license agreement does not provide usage guidelines, then follow these guidelines:

Fair Use

You may use limited portions of our copyrighted material for purposes such as comment, citation, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research, in accordance with fair use under U.S. copyright law.  If you have any uncertainties or questions regarding fair use, email us.

Trademark Policy

All trademarks registered and pending registration are the property of Healthcare Insights and its affiliates. This includes the name and logo for "HEALTHCARE INSIGHTS", name and logo for "HealthcareIn" and "healthcarein.", and additional brands, names, logos, and designs affiliated with Healthcare Insights.​

Authorized Use of Trademarks​

1. Advertising, Promotional, and Sales Materials

Only Healthcare Insights and its authorized affiliates, licensees, and partners may use the Healthcare Insights name and logo in advertising, promotional, and sales materials. Such authorized parties may use the the aforementioned trademarks only as specified in their agreement with Healthcare Insights and any associated guidelines and such use must always be in conjunction with the appropriate terms that define the relationship authorized by their contract with Healthcare Insights.

2. Publications, Seminars, and Conferences

You may use a Healthcare Insights word mark in connection with book titles, magazines, periodicals, seminars, or conferences provided you comply with the following requirements:

a. The use is referential and less prominent than the rest of the title.
b. The use reflects favorably on both Healthcare Insights and its products, reputation, offerings, or technology.
c. Your name and logo appear more prominent than the Healthcare Insights word mark on all printed materials related to the publication, seminar or conference.
d. The Healthcare Insights logo or any other Healthcare Insights-owned symbol, logo, icon or image does not appear on or in the publication or on any materials related to the publication, seminar, or conference without express written permission from Healthcare Insights.
e. A disclaimer of sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement by Healthcare Insights, similar to the following, is included on the publication and on all related printed materials: “(Title) is an independent (publication) and has not been authorized, sponsored, or otherwise approved by Healthcare Insights.”
f. A trademark attribution notice is included in the credit section giving notice of Healthcare Insights' ownership of its trademark(s). Refer to the section below titled “Proper Trademark Notice and Attribution.”

3. Web Sites 

Websites that serve only as noncommercial electronic informational forums may use the appropriate word mark, provided such use complies with the guidelines set forth.​

Unauthorized Use of Trademarks​

1. Company, Product, or Service Name

You may not use or register, in whole or in part, Healthcare Insights, HealthcareIn, or any other HI trademark, including HI-owned logos, icons, or an alteration thereof, as or as part of a company name, trade name, product name, or service name except as specifically noted in these guidelines.​

2. HI Logo

You may not use the HI Logo on or in connection with web sites, products, packaging, manuals, promotional/advertising materials, or for any other purpose except pursuant to an express written trademark license from HI.

3. Variations, Takeoffs or Abbreviations 

You may not use a variation of the HI logo for any purpose. Third parties cannot use a variation, phonetic equivalent, foreign language equivalent, takeoff, or abbreviation of an HI trademark for any purpose.​

4. Disparaging Manner 

You may not use a HI trademark or any HI-owned symbol, logo, or icon in a disparaging manner.​

5. Endorsement or Sponsorship 

You may not use Healthcare Insights and its trademarks, including logos, names, or icons, in a manner that would imply HI's affiliation with or endorsement, sponsorship, or support of a third party product or service.​

6. Merchandise Items 

You may not manufacture, sell or give-away merchandise items, such as T-shirts and mugs, bearing HI trademark, including symbols, logos, or icons, except pursuant to an express written trademark license from HI.​

7. HI's Trade Dress 

You may not imitate the distinctive HI design, layout, article format, website design, logos, or typefaces.​

8. Slogans and Taglines 

You may not use or imitate an HI slogan or tagline.​​

Terms of Use

These Legal Terms and Policies ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our platform, including this website (healthcarein.org) and any other features or functionalities offered by HEALTHCARE INSIGHTS (alternatively referred to herein as "H.I." or the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. The Platform may periodically change the Terms or Policies without prior notice.

You agree, without limitation or qualification, to be bound by these Terms.  If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms, you may not use the Sites.​ H.I. may revise these Terms at any time. The materials provided on these Sites are protected to the full extent of law, including, but not limited to, United States copyright laws, intellectual property laws, and international treaties.​

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OWNERSHIP AND LICENSE

All pertaining design and content, including text, graphics, images, photographs, illustrations, trademarks, trade names, service marks, logos, information and other materials (collectively “Contents”) is the intellectual property of H.I. or its licensors and is protected under both United States and foreign laws. Any use of the Contents not expressly permitted by these Terms will be viewed by H.I. as a contractual breach of these Terms and may also violate copyright, trademark, and other laws.​

Except as expressly stated herein, none of the Contents may be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, downloaded, displayed, posted or transmitted in any form or by any means without the prior written permission of H.I. or its licensors.​
H.I. hereby grants you a non-exclusive, limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Contents available on the Sites solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

3. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY OF H.I. AND ITS LICENSORS AND PARTNERS

​The use of the Sites or the Contents is at your own risk. The Contents in these Sites could include technical inaccuracies and/or typographical errors, and H.I. may make changes or improvements to the Contents at any time.​
